Jumping back inside the trunk area, open the access panels and there you’ll find two bolts that hold the side of the bumper in place. Remove them.

There’s also a bolt holding the bumper to the plastic fender well that needs to come out.

There’s also another bolt that secures the bumper to the fender arch.

This one will be tricky to see. You have to lay down underneath the car and look directly at the center of the inside of the bumper and you’ll find this tab. Pop it out.

Now we can remove the clips and bolts that were hidden behind the tail lights. I left these for last because I didn’t want the bumper falling off with the other points secured and potentially damaging the metal retainer under the skin of the bumper.

There are just four nuts left holding the bumper in place. Remove them.
